Three and a half!

I met Jimina and her family in Somerset West for their maternity session - was great fun with their little girl running around exploring with sticks and all sorts! Their new addition was born last week and so I am looking forward to photographing them again very soon!

Weddings galore!

Phew! December has been a really hectic month without a real break and in between working, moving house and having the kids home on school holidays, I feel ready to drop! In spite of all the 'busyness', it's been full of gorgeous weddings that I feel very honoured to have been a part of. The following blog entries feature these weddings in just a small peek of their full glory! So hard to just pick a few out of each wedding...so there are a few more than just a few!

Tevya and Fred
The last wedding of 2009 and what an absolutely stunning one! This was especially close to my heart as it was the wedding of my daughter's beloved teacher, Tevya! I was delighted when Tevya asked me to do her pics. It was such a special day and Tevya looked breathtakingly beautiful. The setting at Aan de Oewer in Stellenbosch was just gorgeous and the whole theme was so natural and relaxed, taking place under the canopy of the trees and to the sound of the river! Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Lewis, and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day - it was lovely! In honour of Tevya's brother, David, who is leaving again for overseas shortly, here are a few extra sneak peeks for you all to enjoy!

Talana and Sydney
This couple were an absolute joy to photograph - fun, loving and full of smiles and giggles! Their wedding took place at Zevenwacht Wine Estate on a beautiful afternoon just a couple of days before the turn of the decade! Joined by friends and family from all over the country, the wedding was really a lovely one. I know Talana is dying to see some pics, so here you go! :)

Carike and Oscar
The venue was the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa. The couple were Carike and Oscar from Pretoria. They had managed to keep the wedding under wraps from their friends and had arranged to fly them all down for a weekend down in Cape Town to 'discuss their wedding plans' while Carike's mum was home from overseas. They all arrived to discover the wedding would be held that Sunday morning!! The day was spectacular. The bride was what can only be described as flawless. The wedding was intimate with only 14 guests made up of family and close friends...absolutely beautiful - every detail about the day was just perfect. As a result, it was extra difficult trying to keep these sneak peeks down to a minimum...! ;)
